SheSails Sailing Course 

Please join us for an introductory sailing course for Women & Girls (12+) . Sponsored by "Changing Our Game" Victorian Grant, Australia Sailing She Sails Programme & Cowes Yacht Club. The course content will be tailored to the experience and competence of each participant.

Course with be run over 4 X 2 hr sessions:

• 5 - 7 pm Friday 30 Dec 2022
• 10 am - 12 pm Sunday 8 Jan 2023
• 2-4 pm Tuesday 10 Jan 2023
• 10 am - 12 pm Sunday 15 Jan 2023

COVID-19

Due to the lack of certainty in planning for the coming summer all offered courses are subject to change and/or cancellation. We may need to adapt/merge courses to be able to adhere to relevant government regulations in place at the time.

In the case that the number of participants needs to be reduced, this will be done according to the sequence of registrations received. Any cancellations will be refunded in full.

Cancellation Policy (excluding COVID-19 government regulations)

up to 2 week in advance - 50%

up to 48 hours in advance - 75%

after 48 hours in advance - 100%

Course Inclusions

• 8hrs with qualified Australian Sailing instructors. 
• Morning Tea or afternoon Tea.
• Certificate presentation.

Enrollments

Registration is only possible after you have obtained an AS (Australian Sailing) number, which can be completed during the registration process. Registration must be made under the name of the participant.

Payment is required at the time of registration.

The number of places available is limited, so enrollments will be accepted on a first-in basis in the order completed, until the squad limit is reached. This rule applies to all applications, including Club members, and in the interests of fairness to all will be strictly enforced.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing Intro completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
