Course Inclusions
- 20hrs with qualified Australian Sailing instructors.
- Morning Tea and Light Lunch (1:00 - 1:30) each day.

Enrollments
Registration is only possible after you have obtained an AS (Australian Sailing) number, which can be completed during the registration process. Registration must be made under the name of the participant.
Payment is required at the time of registration.
The number of places available is limited, so enrollments will be accepted on a first-in basis in the order completed, until the squad limit is reached. This rule applies to all applications, including Club members, and in the interests of fairness to all will be strictly enforced.
More Information
This Course is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable introduction to Dinghy sailing for complete beginners. It includes an introduction to fundamental boat handling skills and essential safety knowledge.
Topics covered include basic clothing and equipment selection, sailing terminology, boat launch and recovery, capsize recovery in shallow water.
Course Overview
This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery.

Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate.
