Enrollments
Registration is only possible after you have obtained an AS (Australian Sailing) number, which can be completed during the registration process. Registration must be made under the name of the participant.
Payment is required at the time of registration.
The number of places available is limited, so enrollments will be accepted on a first-in basis in the order completed, until the squad limit is reached. This rule applies to all applications, including Club members, and in the interests of fairness to all will be strictly enforced.

Your Discover Sailing journey continues as you master all of the fundamental dinghy sailing skills. This Course introduces skills and knowledge that will enable the participant to safely sail a small boat in light winds without guidance. You are now equipped to sail your dinghy on your own voyages of discovery. Topics covered include rigging of the boat, capsize recovery in deeper water, sail a triangular course, basic sailing rules and theory.

This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own.
Course Prerequisites
Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate.
We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
