If you (or family member) have previously been a member of a Sailing/Yacht Club affliated with Australia Sailing or participated in a Learn to sail/Tackers/OutThere program anywhere in Australia, you will have an Australian Sailing number. If you have forgotten/mis-placed this number - please see https://www.sailing.org.au/member-finder/. Note you will need to create this number as part of filling in this form if you dont have one.
Membership joining process includes a meeting with a membership officer or committee member and we will invoice once we have agree what services you might need (social/sailing/family/single membership, boat space, prorating of fees depending on time of year joined etc). Membership does not start until payment has been received. Please reach out via our Contact page if you have any queries or are wondering what stage your membership request is at.
Note - please select Senior Family or Senior Single or Junior if you wish to either sail or store you boat (sail or power or jet skis) at the club. Social/Beach membership (family or single) does not include access to sailing or boat storage. All family members must be members if you wish to use the club boats or participate in sailing events.
If you are intending to join as a family, please ensure you include each family members name (First & Last Name), birth date, contact email address & Australian Sailing number if known. These details will be used to create their online account (or link their current Australian Sailing account to Cowes Yacht Club) to access our member only website, register for sailing courses, sailing events or social events. If any family members already have an Australian Sailing number - please ensure their provided birth date matches what is held in their Australian Sailing record as it is used to verify we have permission to add the account to our system. You may use the same email address for mulitple family members.
Birth dates will also be used to ensure you are charged the correct discount (E.g. over 70, dependent child under 23, etc)
